Rant about school or Whatever the Fuck ? AI things maybe
Man, I'm usually not THAT agaisnt AI. Sometimes it can be fun. But today it just really messed me up.
So today at school my history teacher assigned a project for us about the Brazilian dictatorship and whatever the fuck, and this time it was about something I LIKED, which is music! I'm gonna make and present a slide presentation about Raul Seixas - one of my favorite musicians in general! So anyway, I thought it would be a good idea to make it with another person (even though I had already made up my mind in the past about NOT doing it with other people... cause I HATE not agreeing with others & I'm a control freak...) and I picked one of my friends . (I'm not even going to get started on that.)
So she pairs up with me and straight off the bat begins insisting that we pick someone else. Mind you, she has absolutely NO interest in music - at least not BRAZILIAN music. Instead of going with my idea of picking Raul because I like him, and because I already KNOW more about him in general, she insists on picking Elis Regina because "she reminds me of Regina George". Gonna be honest, I had no idea who that was. Call me uncultured or whatever, but I could not care less.
Though, I think maybe the teacher (god bless her, she's so cool) heard my desperate voice as I defended Raul and picked it for us anyway. Or maybe she just heard me mention him first. Whatever!
Anyway, as we went to the computer room to make the slides on Canva, she began to pester me. First, it was because she wanted to "decorate" the slides before putting down the actual content. I have no problem with decorating slides (even though it is literally useless and will NOT get you a higher grade), but decorating it THIS much BEFORE even researching it is INSANE. She wanted to do an entire moodboard on pinterest for it. WE HAVE A WEEK TO MAKE THIS PROJECT, and you do not have TIME outside of school. I just wanted to punch her so bad.
But then it got WORSE!! As I finally convinced her to study at least a LITTLE bit since this is one of the FEW times we can group up to MAKE the damn project, she decided to completely ignore all of the websites I pulled up and instead google an obscure Artifiial Intelligence bot to chew up the content and spit it all out for her with pictures. And she even kept saying that "I've seen teachers say they can use AI for projects!" like some sort of primate that can't process all of the information in a single web page. I swear to god, people will say "wikipedia ins't trustworthy!" like it's not common knowledge and then assume they know EVERYTHING. Also, she likes Twilight. I just thought it would be nice to paint a picture of her for ya.
Also pretty unrelated (I'm just trying to get it all out lmao) I'm preeeettyy sure my friend group hates me (not) secretly. One of them I'm VERY sure hates me. Though in HER case, it's pretty justified. I won't elaborate much though.
Man, I did Jack SHIT today.... Sometimes I think I need to kill myself. I'm too much of a coward though. And my life is too nice. sometimes
Anyway.... the rest of the school day was nice. I ate pizza. And nachos. Sickass..
